Keep the watermark on purpose

Creator Pro exports are watermark-free by default, but a repost only keeps credit if it is baked into the video. The watermark is now a per-draft choice — settable from the editor, from an AI connector, and by account default.

  • NewCreator Pro accounts get an "Include watermark" switch in the Export menu. It is saved with the draft, so the same conversation exports the same way next time, from a shared link, and from an auto-export link.
  • NewA "Watermark exports by default" preference on the account page, for people who want attribution on everything unless a draft says otherwise. Off unless you turn it on, so nothing changes for existing accounts.
  • NewAI connectors can set settings.watermark when they create a draft, and the reply now says plainly whether exports will carry the watermark — including when a free connection asked for none and will get it anyway.
  • ImprovedEvery export path — MP4, WebM, the preview, and the auto-export link — reads one shared decision, and an editor link can carry &watermark=1 or &watermark=0 to override a draft for that open.

Notifications drop in over the chat

A phone notification can now interrupt the conversation — someone else texting, a bank alert, a missed call — the way it does in a real screen recording.

  • NewAdd a notification banner from the event menu on any phone theme (iMessage, SMS, Android, WhatsApp, Teams). Give it an app, a title and a line of text; it slides in over the chat, holds for a few seconds with a chime, and slides away before the story continues. The app name picks the icon, so "Messages", "Instagram" and "Bank" each look the part without borrowing anyone's logo.
  • ImprovedAI connectors can author the same thing with a { "type": "notification" } event, and the exported video plays it exactly as the preview does.
  • ImprovedThe row of starter scenes above the script is now a single Scenes button beside Undo and Redo. Same five scenes, one less row between you and your messages.

MP4 export that survives phones

Exports on mobile were failing two times in three. The encoder now tries again instead of giving up, phones render at a size they can actually handle, and a failure tells you what to do next.

  • FixedWhen a phone's hardware video encoder refuses to start — the most common way an MP4 export died on Android — the export now retries with a software encoder, then a simpler profile, then 720p, instead of failing the same way on every attempt.
  • ImprovedPhones render MP4 at 720p. A full 1080p encode on a mid-range phone ran slower than the video itself and needed a quarter of a gigabyte of memory for a two-minute story, which is how exports got cancelled or the tab was killed. TikTok, Reels and Shorts re-encode every upload anyway.
  • FixedAn export that was going to fail at the very end — the browser never handed over the codec details the MP4 needs — now stops in the first second instead of rendering the whole story first, and tries a different encoder.
  • ImprovedIf MP4 export cannot work in your browser at all, the error now offers a one-tap switch to WebM rather than leaving you to guess.
  • ImprovedThe screen stays awake while an MP4 renders on a phone, the same as it already did for real-time recording.

You decide what gets measured

Cookie settings you can reach from any page and change whenever you like — and if you say no, nothing is kept on your device at all.

  • NewA cookie settings control now sits in the footer of every page. Analytics and advertising are separate choices, both are off until you tick them, and rejecting everything takes exactly one click from the same place accepting does. Whatever you pick, you can come back and change it.
  • NewIn the EU, the UK and Switzerland, nothing beyond the essentials runs until you agree to it. Everywhere else measurement runs until you turn it off. We also honour the Global Privacy Control browser setting on its own, so if you have that switched on you are opted out of advertising cookies without having to tell us twice.
  • ImprovedIf you decline analytics, we no longer store anything in your browser — not a cookie, not an identifier, nothing. Visits are counted instead with a key worked out on our side that is thrown away after two days, so we can still see which pages get used and whether exports are failing without knowing who you are or that you came back.
  • FixedPages you reached by clicking a link were not being counted at all — only the first page of a visit was. Every theme, template, guide and story page was invisible unless someone arrived on it straight from a search.

Write to us without leaving the page

Support is now a form that reaches a real person, and the pages that answer a search finally link to each other.

  • NewThe support page has a contact form. Pick what it is about — a bug, an export problem, billing, the AI connector, or a feature request — and each choice tells you what to include so the first reply can actually help. Messages are stored the moment you send one, not just emailed, so nothing is lost to a spam folder or a mail outage.
  • ImprovedEvery comparison page now ends with a map of the rest of the site — chat themes, story formats, and how-to guides — so finding the guide for what you are actually making no longer means going back to the homepage.
  • FixedThe sign-in and sign-up pages were being kept out of search results in a way search engines could not read, so they surfaced anyway. Removed the editor shell from the sitemap for the same reason.

When an export fails, we can now tell why

Failed exports report what the browser actually said instead of a shrug, and starting a second export no longer leaves the first one hanging.

  • FixedExport failures were being filed under "unknown" even when the browser had given a clear reason — the classifier looked for the word "encoder" while Chrome says "Encoding error". Genuine encode failures are now recognized, out-of-memory and resource-exhaustion get their own categories, and the browser's own wording is kept alongside the category.
  • FixedRestarting an export while one was still running left the abandoned attempt recorded as though it were still in flight. The superseded attempt is now closed out, so a stalled export is distinguishable from one you simply started over.
  • ImprovedEvery export now records the kind of device it ran on, which is what you need when a failure only happens on one sort of machine.

The price on the button is the price you pay

Upgrading now quotes the amount actually charged, defaults to monthly, and lets you back out to where you started.

  • FixedThe button shown after an export read "$7.50/mo" but opened a payment form for $90 — it quoted the annual monthly rate and then started an annual checkout. Monthly is now the default everywhere, and both the pricing card and the button name the amount that will be charged for the interval you picked.
  • FixedBacking out of checkout dropped you into the editor instead of returning to the page you left, whether you used the browser Back button or the cancel link on the payment form. Canceling now returns you to where you started reading.
  • ImprovedLanding-page copy leads with "short-form" rather than "faceless", which describes what you are making instead of how you make it.

Every message feature, on every account

The parts of the editor that used to be restricted now work everywhere, and a new conversation opens on something worth pressing Play on.

  • ImprovedThe device status bar, attachments, link previews, message timestamps, read receipts, typing control, and member events now work on every account, free or paid.
  • ImprovedA brand-new editor opens paused on the first beat of the conversation instead of the last, so pressing Play visibly does something without spoiling the ending. Mobile gains a real Play button and a hint that no longer covers the phone, and the script panel is wider.
  • FixedPassword reset links, sign-in sessions, and connected-assistant tokens now expire when they say they do. Anything set to expire later on the same calendar day was still being accepted.

Two details that gave the illusion away

The classic iOS composer holds still while you type, and Green Chat gets a real doodle wallpaper.

  • FixedThe composer in the two classic iOS themes grew upward as a draft wrapped, lifting the pill away from the keyboard while every other theme stayed put. It is now fixed height and scrolls the tail of a long draft instead, and the placeholder and your text share one baseline so nothing hops on the first keystroke.
  • ImprovedThe current-era Green Chat wallpaper is now a scattered field of nine recognizable doodles — teacup, clock, leaf sprig, heart, planet, flower, music note, fish, and sparkle — instead of four abstract shapes in a rigid grid. Placement is deterministic, so exported frames never shimmer. Classic Green Chat keeps its period-accurate plain beige.

One click from your assistant to a saved video

Ask an AI assistant for a texting video and get a finished MP4, plus bubble tails that land where the real apps put them.

  • NewVideos created through an AI assistant now come back with a link that renders the MP4 as soon as you open it. A "Your video is ready" panel then saves the file in a single click.
  • FixedA message followed by a time gap, narrator line, member notice, or standalone read receipt now ends its bubble cluster, so it keeps its tail instead of rendering flat — and the avatar that marks the end of a cluster sits in the right place. Invisible events like typing indicators still leave a cluster intact.
  • FixedIn the Android RCS and Teams themes, the tighter tail corner now marks only the last bubble in a cluster, so the bubbles above it stay symmetric.

Your account, connected to your AI assistant

Sign in from Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients to keep what you make — plus sharper, cleaner, better-named exports.

  • NewConnect your texting.video account from MCP clients with OAuth. Drafts created by your assistant now save straight to your library, and opening one while signed in picks up the saved conversation so edits stay in one place. Anonymous use works exactly as before.
  • NewCreator Pro accounts connected over MCP can author device status-bar and clock settings from the assistant, and their drafts are marked for watermark-free export.
  • NewExports are now named after the conversation — title, contact, or first message plus the export time — instead of an unreadable timestamp. Script JSON downloads follow the same pattern.
  • ImprovedVideo exports encode at a higher bitrate, so bubble text stays crisp after TikTok, Reels, and Shorts re-compress the upload.
  • ImprovedRetired the social-safe inset layout: every export is now full-bleed at your chosen aspect ratio. The safe-zone preview guides remain the way to check where platform captions and controls will sit.
  • ImprovedThe free-export watermark now sits in the bottom-right corner over the phone chrome on every theme, so it never covers a message bubble.
  • FixedAn icon fidelity pass across all themes: authentic phone-handset icons in chat headers, a proper airplane-mode glyph, a real paperclip in the Green Chat composer, and battery percentages that stay legible at every charge level.

AI-written texting stories now arrive through a safer, measurable, submission-ready workflow.

  • NewAdded a dedicated ChatGPT plugin endpoint that creates a private-by-link draft and keeps the complete handoff, editing, preview, and watermarked export workflow free.
  • ImprovedThe MCP server now publishes explicit tool titles, anonymous-auth declarations, structured outputs, safety annotations, and rate limits for more predictable assistant behavior.
  • ImprovedAgent-created editor links now carry first-party source attribution, with per-client MCP campaign tags when available and a dedicated AI-and-agent acquisition report in admin.

Make the phone status bar part of the story

Creator Pro can now customize the device details that make a texting video feel like a real screen recording.

  • NewSet the phone clock, battery level, charging state, Low Power Mode, and whether the battery number is visible.
  • NewChoose Wi-Fi, 5G, LTE, offline/SOS, or airplane mode and adjust signal strength.
  • NewFollow story mode updates the phone clock when a visible message, read receipt, or time-gap event contains a timestamp.
  • ImprovedStatus icons use platform-specific iPhone and Android styling across Blue Bubble, Green Bubble, Google Messages, Green Chat, Corporate Chat, Gamer Chat, and Team Chat themes.
  • ImprovedDevice status is saved with the conversation and stays consistent between the editor preview and MP4 or WebM exports.

More believable conversations on every platform

The largest visual-fidelity pass yet, with versioned phone themes and app-specific message behavior.

  • NewBlue Bubble Current, Green Bubble Current, and Green Chat Current join the theme picker. The original versions remain available as Classic themes.
  • NewOptional Google sign-in can now sit alongside email and password when it is enabled by the site owner.
  • ImprovedTighter Apple bubble geometry with connected tails and aligned speaker clusters, native-style group headers, Google Messages RCS styling, WhatsApp timestamps and checks, Teams chrome, and the mobile Slack and Discord layouts.
